700 MXZ

The MXZ 700 cylinder reed motor with its light weight design and 73mm of stroke makes this twin a good hard hitting trail motor with a few more HP than the standard 670 motor. The motor responds very well to modifications. A set of Crank Shop trail pipes will add 8-10 HP and 2-3 pounds of torque at 8100-8300 RPMs. Cylinder porting will add about 8 HP. We offer a head cut that is recommended when Crank Shop pipes are used. We offer race packages as well for this motor. The improve stock package produces 155 hp @ 8800 rpm's 93 lbs. of torque and the prostock package 167 hp @ 9200 rpm's 97 lbs. of torque. Both of the race packages consist of cylinder race porting, base porting, head machining & inserts, v-force 3 reeds, 2 cyl race pipes and run on C12 or C14 race fuel. The improve stock package also includes boring the stock carbs. The labor to disassemble, clean, and assemble the motor is not included in the package prices. Any crank work, repairs, or replacement OEM parts would be an extra charge. These packages are not for trail use.
