1006 & 1019 RACE ENGINE
The 1006/1019 open race engine has a very wide power band. The 1006 is expected to produce 266 HP @ 9200 RPM's with 143 lbs. of torque and the 1019 motor is around 270 HP @ 9700-9800 RPM's with 144 lbs. of torque. These motor packages utilize Crank Shop cylinders with nickicil and the benefit of the nickicil cylinder is the way it dissipates heat. The motor packages are designed for open improved or open prostock racing only. These packages will include three new Crank Shop nickicil cylinders and rave valves, new aluminum billet head and domes, porting, pistons, V-Force 3 reeds, stroking the crankshaft to 73mm, and a set of triple race pipes. The labor to disassemble the 809 motor and assemble 1006/1019 motor is NOT included in package prices. The parts required from the customer for these builds are the crankshaft and case, the case bolts, and all the rave housing parts minus the exhaust raves. New head bolts are an extra charge for the aluminum head or you can send in the stock bolts to be modified for a fee. The carburetors that are recommended are the 54mm flat slide carbs. This package is also available without stroking the crank to create a 1012cc motor @ 244 HP with 138 lbs of torque. We have sand casted a replica 809 base which can be used instead of the stock oem base. The base is for a race application only because it does not utilize a water pump. The sand cast base is machined for large reeds, and the reeds are angled 7 degrees. In 2010 at some of the major Asphalt races the winners were using this base on their motors.
